New Car!!!!

This is my new ride, a 2008 Chevy Cobalt Sport Coupe.



I never thought I could love anything as much as I loved my Spaceship.




Turns out you can when it has leather interior, xm radio, and heated seats.



Did I mention it has a sunroof?











And, best of all, an upgraded sound system and subwoofer!




Isn't it so awesome?




Sometimes, God not only provides what we need, but more than we could ever dream of!

Bridget

Bridget is a high school Senior!






She was also on Cheer!








Bridget has some serious attitude! I love it!

Sweet Candice

My friend Candice is graduating high school in a month.
We had some serious fun shooting all over Camp Verde!









This is the one where Candice saw a lizard and tried to run away. I say, lizard scares make the most spectacular poses!















These shots were taken on the side of a very hilly road. I took pictures, Candice looked amazing and kept an eye out for psycho killer drivers.



I told Candice she should choose modeling as a career.







All I could do was yell and scream in excitement of these shots!

Happy [Belated] Valentine's Day!

All last week, I told the kids that on Friday, I would give them a kiss for Valentine's Day. Almost all of them thought I was actually going to plant a big, wet one on their faces. And they were worried. Real worried that they were going to be kissed by their teacher. So, Friday came, and I lined them all up to receive their kiss. I pretended to kiss them and gave them a hershey's kiss. I wish you could have been here to hear the laughter and squeals of delight. Delight that their teacher was actually not going to kiss them. And that they ate candy pretty much all day.

Some of their faces were so funny. And serious. And crazy.

But we all know love is crazy, right???

Happy [belated] LOVE DAY!

Camp Verde is cold these days, but beautiful. It rains weekly and makes a muddy mess. And, it snowed last week. The geese are flying overhead and landing in the hay fields behind our house.




Every other Friday, one of the ranches down the road has cowboy church. I love the sign.

2008: Year in Review

Let's talk hair: Went from brown. to blonde. to brown. to pink and brown. to just brown.



Worked at Biola in housing/Res Life and substituted in Norwalk in Jan. and Feb.

Chaperoned an 8th grade trip to San Fransisco in April.




Spent Easter with my dear family in Texas.





Lived with Danika and Maddie in Troppy. They. are. the. best.





Moved home to Burbank at the end of May. Taught 8th grade U.S. history and worked Day Camp in June/July.





Moved to Camp Verde, AZ. on July 28th.




Was in Jac's wedding on my birthday!



Taught my first class of students in August. Yes, we all look scared on the first day of school.



Campfired it all summer/fall with the neighborhood kids. Isn't he a cutie???!



Turns out, we get fall break in Arizona! I spent a week in October at Disneyland!



Found the best slide in the world in November in Clarkdale!




Thanksgiving feast with my kiddos. Sweet little pilgrims!
I also had the traditional family get-together/Christmas tree hunting at the house. SO FUN

Sewed 10 angel costumes for the Christmas program at school in early December.




Celebrated Christmas at home.




Spent New Year's with Ashley in AZ with Campfires, spoons, fireworks and sparkling peach cider!
